Through interaction and discussion workshop participants will learn about the role and impact of racism that often results in the experience of anger, grief, and loss. Focused discussions and education will be provided on understanding and processing racialized grief and developing healthy healing practices. Concepts of internalized racism neglected health (physical, mental, and emotional), addiction, depression, and anxiety will be defined and addressed as central experiences to racialized grief. Workshop participates will be given education regarding the development and practice of healthy coping skills to manage racialized anger, grief, and loss.
